Sarah Palin is a former Governor of Alaska, an author, political commentator, and even a reality television star. She is also one of the most polarizing figures to have entered American politics in the last decade. There are some who love her and others who despise her, but either way, everyone seems to have an opinion. While serving as Governor, Palin first stepped into the national spotlight when she was chosen as the vice presidential running mate for the Republican nominee John McCain in the election. Moreover, the 5-foot-5 former beauty queen also captured the hearts of many, being both a relatively young and attractive female candidate. In fact, Palin even became something of a sex symbol in conservative circles following her rise to prominence. However, like anyone who gets involved in presidential politics, she also became the subject of a great deal of gossip and scrutiny, as such, rumors of all sorts began to emerge. One rumor, which came to light a few years after her failed vice presidential run, was that the former Alaskan Governor previously dated former NBA star, Glen Rice.
Joe McGinniss's Sarah Palin biography just landed on our desk, and our eyes went immediately to the excerpt— mentioned last week by the National Enquirer but quoted only in part—that proved for all time that Glen Rice never went to his left. Here it is, in case you were curious:. On weekends, she'd sometimes appear on camera, delivering sports reports during the PM newscast. Her attitude toward people of color was evolving. In Anchorage, she even dated black men. A friend says, "Sarah and her sisters had a fetish for black guys for a while.
Sarah Failin' Palin born February 11, is the former Republican Governor of Alaska , a beauty queen, reality-TV star, and prime example of how well abstinence-only education works. She was the youngest Governor in Alaskan history, the first to be born after Alaskan statehood, and has damaged the state's public image more than any other person in recent memory. On August 29th, presidential candidate John McCain selected her to be his running-mate the Geezer and Gidget ticket , despite the fact that she didn't really know what a Vice President does. However, there's a certain subset of conservatives who shun all media outlets and honestly believe Palin was sandbagged by mainstream media for being conservative, and no other reason.
The sure-to-be controversial tome says the one-time Alaskan governor was more than a Tea Partier - smoking pot with a college professor and snorting coke on a snowmobiling trip, the National Enquirer reported. She also cheated on husband Todd, taking up with the First Dude's business partner in the mid-'90s, the Enquirer quoted the book as reporting. But it was the unlikely jump ball between the 6-foot-8 Rice and the future vice presidential candidate that sparked an endless outpouring of cyberspace wisecracks. There was no response from the Palin camp to any of the tales from the McGinniss book, due on bookshelves next week. Rice did not return calls for comment, although the Enquirer said Rice confirmed the romance to McGinniss. A review of the book on the New York Times ' website suggests the author egged Rice on with leading questions and never specifically says they had an encounter. A friend described Palin as the aggressor, with the pal reporting "she hauled his ass down," the Enquirer said.
